True Blood

I happen to be a fan of anything with a supernatural theme, in books, movies and tv-series.
I like movies like Twilight and Blood & Chocolate, and I like the books as well.
I also like tv-series like Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Angel, Charmed, etc.

A few months ago I found out about a tv-serie called True Blood.
It's about a woman named Sookie Stackhouse, who can read minds (she is a telepath) and she lives in Louisiana.
In the tv-serie (and the books it was based on) vampires came into the open, offically I mean.
They announced to the world that they existed and that they weren't dangerous because they could drink the synthetic blood the Japanese came up with, called True Blood!

Off course it's in the nature of the vampire to cause trouble and there also seem to be a lot of other supernaturals presents.
This all makes for a good reading/watching :D.

The first two seasons of the tv-series have been aired, and the third will be airing from june.

The books have been written by Charlaine Harris.

So far she has written 10 books in the Sookie Stackhouse series, the tv-show True Blood was based on.

The books:
1) Dead Until Dark
2) Living Dead In Dallas
3) Club Dead
4) Dead To The World
5) Dead As A Doornail
6) Definitely Dead
7) All Together Dead
8) From Dead To Worse
9) Dead And Gone
10) Dead In The Family (will be available from May).

I'm currently reading book 7, All Together Dead.
I really love the books and the tv-show.
It's raw, real and honest and it shouldn't be watched by anyone with weak stomach.
There's a lot of violence, sex, blood, puke and all sorts of gross and disturbing things going on which makes it all the more real.
I think it's refreshing that True Blood isn't as polished and glamorous as most of todays tv-shows are.
It's different and it makes you think about things (like life and death and discrimination and love, for example).

So here's the intro song for you to watch and listen to.
Once again, don't watch it if you can't take a bit of gore!

So...start with the watching and reading and tell me what you think of true blood!
